What to expect
If you have not had a coach/mentor before (or have had one although I can guarantee this will be different). I’d like you to know what to expect when we start working together.
Our coaching/mentoring will provide you with time and space to think, talk, reflect, and explore the challenges of your professional life. This may bring up your personal life too as one usually impacts on the other and of course it is ok to do so.
Many of us find it difficult to prioritise ‘time for me’ during a busy schedule, even though this time is likely to positively impact on performance, health and wellbeing and our interactions and relationships with others.
Individual coaching/mentoring usually involves one to one and a half hours of time together. The conversations take place in a quiet space and can be undertaken in person or virtually depending on what suits you best. You set your own agenda and we go from there as a starting point.
Conversations are non-judgemental and my coaching style is unstuffy, interactive, and honest. I will interact, be responsive and at times we will have some light-hearted moments (I promise).
Our aim is to:
- Work together to get to the root of the issues you want to discuss that may be impacting on your day to day and/or you personally and identify solutions together.
- Find practical tools, actions, and learning to take forward in whatever way suits best to benefit and support you to make change and tackle what may be holding you back.

Sarah has shown an incredible ability to identify gaps in my strengths and helped me to develop skills, strategies, and plans for my personal and professional improvements. She is a compassionate, understanding, and driven professional who helped me open up to her. Her completely non-judgemental manner gives me a safe, confidential, and neutral space to explore, understand, and develop. Sarah is always present for me, in every coaching session and conversation, and listens to my views and ideas with patience giving me time and space to self-evaluate and find resolutions. She has always been curious to know more about the issue we were discussing rather than rushing or settling on early solutions. I have found Sarah’s observations, ideas, and suggestions to be authentic and I have relied on her suggested techniques to develop and readjust my own thought processes and communication styles.
